Friends of Holy Cross Church, Yelling
Holy Cross Church in Yelling has stood on its current site since the eleventh century, and has been an important part of the village’s heritage, as well as providing a place of worship for generations. The Friends of Holy Cross Church, Yelling is an organisation aimed at raising money specifically for the restoration, repair and improvement of the church.
Permission has now been granted for the provision of kitchenette and toilet facilities in the space at the foot of the bell tower. The Friends will be actively involved in helping to raise funds to finance this exciting project, which will be of great benefit to worshippers, and will make the serving of refreshments after services and at fund-raising events so much easier.
The Friends’ 100 Club continues to make a contribution each year to the Restoration Fund.
