HARVEST SUPPER : Friday 2nd October

The Harvest supper raised the very pleasing sum of £350. Many thanks to Rita and her team  - Penny Bint, Sue   Bownass, Jan Himbury and other contributors to the feast- for all their hard work to put on this popular annual village event. And thank you to everyone who came -  it was a really enjoyable and successful evening.

FLOWER FESTIVAL : AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND

Thank you everyone for making this such a huge success ! We raised at least £4115 - a fantastic amount ! As usual very many people from the village pulled together and contributed in many different ways.

Thank you to all flower arrangers, those who helped Rita with the refreshments, stall holders and contributors, stewards , mowers , cleaners and a special thank you to Ouida Ascroft for master minding the flowers for the 17th time ! And it certainly pulled in the crowds thanks to its consistently good local reputation and high standards.

Thank you all for your support.

Jazz Night

Our ever popular Jazz Evening raised a fantastic £570 towards church funds. A big thank you goes, as ever, to Irene and Mick Brearey for organising it.

THE ‘CHEESE AND WINE PARTY’ raised the fantastic sum of £455 towards the cost of flowers for the Flower Festival. Many thanks to all those who came to support this event and to those who contributed ‘in absentia’ too. By having enough money to pay for flowers in advance means that all money raised at the Flower Festival (August Bank Holiday weekend) will be profit. Thank you everyone.

RECORD AMOUNT RAISED AT THE PLANT SALE : SATURDAY 2nd May 2009

Thank you to everyone who helped, contributed and supported this popular annual event on such a beautiful Spring morning; as a result we made a record £560 towards church funds.

Thanks go especially to Pauline Smith for organising it and contributing so many plants, Jan Himbury and Angie for doing the refreshments, Rita Emery for organising the raffle, Penny and Olivia Bint for running the cake and produce stall and William Holloway for his help and advice with plants.
